There are places where the landscape dominates everything, and places where people give meaning to the landscape. Kyrgyzstan brings both together. In the heart of the Tian Shan mountains, among alpine lakes, endless pastures and peaks covered by glaciers, one of the world's last great nomadic cultures survives. The yurts, the herds of horses and the shepherds who move their camps with the seasons make up an authentic universe, in which photography becomes a form of discovery and documentation. This expedition is built for photographers, not for tourists. The schedule follows the light at sunrise and sunset, and the route leaves room for spontaneous stops whenever the landscape or local life offers a photographic opportunity. From the lakes of Song-Köl, Köl-Suu and Issyk-Kul to the Tash Rabat fortress and the spectacular Sary-Jaz valley, we will meet shepherd families, yurt camps and people who still keep the rhythm of an almost unchanged world. We will travel in a small group, with 4×4 vehicles, on roads that take us far from the usual routes. This journey is for those who value authenticity more than comfort, and experience more than a simple touristic visit. If there is a corner of Asia where you can truly understand what it means to travel like a photographer, then Kyrgyzstan is certainly one of them.
