This tour proposes a completely new philosophy for PhotoTOUR, built around absolute flexibility. In order to truly keep pace with the weather and capture the perfect light, we abandon the classic travel patterns and adopt the overlanding style. We will live and sleep in cars, in roof-top tents, or in motorhomes (Vans), setting up camp right in the heart of the landscape or as close as possible to our shooting locations. This way, we will catch the last rays of sunset and the first colors of dawn directly on site, without compromises or time lost on the road. A second essential component of this adventure is staying in isolated mountain refuges, a unique experience that will allow us to be up on the ridges during the magic hours. Since spots in the refuges are limited, the tour is dedicated to a small group of only 5-6 people. It is an authentic expedition, with a rugged level of comfort — where the sleeping bag, the sleeping mat, and your own food are part of the story — while classic accommodations will serve exclusively as a back-up for bad weather or for well-deserved refresh breaks. In October, the Dolomites shed the bustle of summer and transform into the most grandiose open-air photography workshop in Europe. This is the moment when the spectacular larch forests explode into intense shades of yellow and orange, creating a surreal contrast with the vertical walls of gray limestone. Mornings begin under the sign of thick frost that covers the alpine pastures and mists that drift lazily over the valleys, turning every massif into an island floating above seas of clouds. October light has a special softness; the sun stays low in the sky, drawing long, dramatic shadows and highlighting the rugged textures of the ridges. Whether we are photographing the reflection of a rock tower in a perfectly still alpine lake, or capturing the first rays melting the frost off the golden needles of the larches, the Dolomites in this season ask not only to be photographed, but to be lived with every breath in the thin air of the high altitudes. This tour is for you if: Priority for light: Sunrises and sunsets without shuttle runs from the hotel. 100% adaptability: Changing the plan on the go depending on how the weather evolves. Team spirit: Flexibility and camaraderie within a small group. Mountain readiness: Average physical condition for hikes up to the refuges - 2-4 hours Minimalism: Accepted comfort in a car, roof-top tent, or Van.
