Roger Ballen. Shadows of the Mind / Umbrele minții (Тени разума)

A major photography exhibition by renowned South African-based photographer Roger Ballen, on view at the National Art Museum of Moldova in Chișinău. The exhibition showcases decades of Ballen's distinctive visual style — blending documentary photography with staged, surreal scenes involving masks, drawings, animals and found objects — and is a rare chance for the Moldovan photography community to see his work in person.
